Basin Head Fisheries Museum

Situated on the bluff overlooking the Northumberland Strait, Basin Head Fisheries Museum tells the story of PEI’s historic inshore fishery with all new displays and exhibits that will take you back in time. Visit the Cannery for a glimse at what the fishing industry really looked like!

While at Basin Head, wander the boardwalk and stroll along the magnificent white “singing” sands.  Discover Sun, Sand and Suf, the large museum gift shop, right on the boardwalk. Also located on site is The Scoop for icecream treats and cold drinks and there are beach services and a children's play village.
