1745 New Englanders detached from the siege of Louisburg raid and burn Pierre Roma's fishing and trading settlement at Three Rivers (Brudenell Point). It is the last blow for Roma's struggling colony, established only 13 years earlier. For good measure, the raiders also burn Port La Joye.
